Netflix without Xbox Live Gold?

I have a PS3 and an Xbox 360. Previously in order to watch Netflix on the Xbox I needed a subscription to Gold. As someone who isn't really into mutliplayer, and tends to sit on RPGs on my own, I resented this.
I heard a rumour that this was no longer the case, and I will be able to access Netflix without the Gold membership. Does anyone know? I've been boycotting my Xbox and playing through Dragon Age games in prep for the Autumn, but will stop boycotting my xbox if they are being nice now.
