Credit Solutions

Hi,
I need some advise please.
I offered Credit Solutions a full and final offer of £200 on the outstanding amount of £743.94. They refused and made a counter offer of £223.18 as F&F with the client writing off the balance in writing on headed paper.
I paid them within the time lines using their online payment system.
I then wrote a letter confirming I had paid and asked them to kindly confirm the payment was received and the matter had been written off as per their letter.
To date I've not has any further communications from Credit solutions despite sending repeated letters and I'm getting concerned that my money might of not cleared the outstanding amount.
I have everything scanned and saved electronically but they wont even write back to confirm they got the payment OK.
Anyone else had any dealings with this company if this normal for them?
Thanks for any help or guidance you can provide.
Karl

If you have paid, and have proof of payment, and you have it in writing that you will not be pursued for the balance, then your involvement with this company is ended.
They may or may not choose to confirm your payment, its of no real consequence.

Good advice as usual from SC. But keep the offer letter and proof of payment forever. At least until the debt becomes statute barred anyway.
Sometimes these things can slip through the net.BSC No 248

Hello again and thanks for the replies.
Just signed up to two credit file reported (Noodle & Checkmyfile) and they are mirror images of each other and the correct information on both.
The key information I wanted to look at is the debt which has all been passed to various collection agencies was not listed, to be honest the report looked unremarkable!
So what's going on with the £18000 of unsecured debt that I pay a reduced payment monthly with Eurodebt, even they have seem to of lost interest with me over the years as I never miss a payment to them. I very, very rarely get a letter from any collection company and Eurodebt just send monthly statements.
Thanks again0 -
Lenders don't always use the same CRA`s, there is also Equifax and Experian, not sure who checkmyfile are ? as you know noddle is free, the other two charge £2 per report, best to check all three.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. checkmyfile will not show credit account data from Experian, so you will be missing out on that. There is no real substitute for getting your files direct from each CRA.
