Blocked sewage pipe

We have a blocked sewage drain running through our back garden!!! (I know because I have looked in inspection cover)
Anyway I have contacted NI water who are coming out to see if it is their responsibility to fix. I suspect as it is within our boundaries and not affecting neighbours etc it will be our responsibility and therefore will likely have to pay to get some-one out to fix/unblock.
Can any-one suggest a company who can do this without charging a bomb! - I know it will depend on what is causing blockage etc etc but would like to use a reputable business with good reputation.
Obviously want it sorted ASAP.......................................

You can hire the Drain Cleaning Rods from any hire store or can buy them from B&Q for about £20. worth a go to do it yourself, it really isn't that hard, just buy a face mask and a good pair of marigolds too..0

Seriously like warmhands said, just do it yourself. You'll probably be able to buy a set of rod for something like £40. They sometime pop up in Lidl so you could hire some now and buy some next time.
My sister called Dyno Rod in last year. They had a £85 call out charge. Out of hours was more than twice the price.0 -
What type of house do you live in? If you are the only user its worth getting some drain rods or call a local plumber as they will be cheaper, and once it is fixed not to flush nappies etc down the loo - put a bin beside it.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

Got 2 sets of these bad boys for mine (special offer 2 for £20 at the time), only needed 1 set as it turned out for the sewer.

The other set I got the chimney brush attachment for a fiver from fleabay and they are great for an annual chimney clean.
Save yourself a fortune and DIY
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
I am with the others, DIY. Hire or borrow the rods, bit of vicks up your nose,a face mask, gloves and old clothes in case of back splash. How bad can it be its your own waste after all. lol
When my dad moved house every drain at the back of the house was filled with cat poo. we got the gloves on and cleared them. Was not a pleasant job but they were cleared in no time.0 -
