Linked in

Hi so I joined linked in a lil while back and want to update info. Do people put their whole cv on like they do on online applications I'm concerned with internet saftey as it is sort of social media account. Do I put my experiences in detail and also my qualifications I have gained in detail.
Also what should I have my privacy setting as, as I want to get a job. I'm new to it as you can tell

  • I put more detail in the latest roles I've had, gradually decreasing to just stating I worked for "blah" between "blah and blah". Normally experience in your older roles are less important for your next job anyway.

I find that if you have a good Linkedin profile, with plenty of appropriate contacts, you get lots of enquiries about availability for jobs (but I am in a rather underscribed niche field).
