Do any high street lenders loan on single brick width properties?

Hi just received our Lender's valuation report and they are saying that the back wall of the property I wish to buy is only a single brick wall with a render on top. I want to extend the property removing the dodgy wall anyway but I need to be able to get a Mortgage to buy in the first place. Would a Restoration Mortgage via Buildsure or Norwich and Peterborough be the only way?
