My leather chairs are not leather!

In May this year I bought an oak extending table and 6 leather chairs (on my credit card) from a local shop.
I originally went into the shop to enquire about these items a couple of months earlier and the shop owner wrote down the table dimensions, price and stated '6 leather chairs'. I asked her specifically if the chairs were leather and she said quite directly that they were.
After a lot of problems with the shop not delivivering; not turning up when they said they would (more than once) then only delivering the table and stating to return later the same day with the chairs (2 weeks later, again having not kept delivery appts.) And, the original table being faulty! I eventually had all 6 chairs and a replacement table delivered last week! ONLY, the chairs are NOT leather at all but a good quality faux leather. We can tell they are not leather as you can see in the right light there is a repeat pattern in the leather grain the same on every chair, their is no 'leather' smell, and we've had a look at the underside of the fabric under a leg. I am otherwise very pleased the table and chairs but feel cheated that they are not leather and specifically wanted leather.
I have spoken to Consumer Direct but do not feel there response is very helpful I was told that I would have to get a refund on all the goods and that no action would be taken against the shop unless other complaints are made. I don’t think the shop should be misleading it’s customers and I want my chairs replaced for leather ones they had promised.

What do the shop say that sold them to you. Maybe they can swap the chairs out for leather ones.Nice to save.0

You could play for loss of bargain if you had seen similar products (in real leather) elsewhere that you have now missed out on because of waiting for these faux leather chairs.0

Get in touch with your credit card issuer. If it says leather on the receipt and they aren't, you should be able to get your money back surely?0
