There is a guy that works from our local weatherspoons,

unlimited coffee in the morning for £1.20, acceptable table, chair and good internet connection.

Because i am a mobile worker, and my fuel card is expensed directly back to the business against chargable project codes.

To work at an office at my own expense would cost around £300 per week in fuel.

So you do have the option to work at another site with appropriate furniture but have chosen not to?

That's a different matter - why not value your health above stubbornly making a point and just buy something from ebay?

What does your contract say about place of work?

A mobile worker is not a home worker. Most businesses differentiate between the two.

Normally if a mobile worker is not working at site then they should be working at their base and not at home.
