RMA Resolve

Does anyone know RMA Resolve's telephone number. The one they phone from as well as expect people to ring back. I have received a phone call with no message left from a number I don't recognise.
I've no intention of phoning it as I told them I am not prepared to talk over the telephone about the debt and requested all contact by letter only.
Would I be right in thinking an 08708 number is premium rate?

An 0870 number is premium rate and this lot are not popular here; there are indications that they chase debts that are statute barred and that they contact people to whom the debt does not even belong.

Will try and find the thread.

an 0870 number is not premium rate it is std national rate which can be up to 12p min.

With an 0870 number the company you call get a percentage of the call cost in their pocket.

Try this for RMA 01772 843163

I need to know the 0870 number I'm sure they use as I've asked them countlessly number of times not to ring and to write to me, all of which they have failed to do. If the number that has been left on my caller disply is theirs, I'll be filing a complaint.

Thanks for the clarification. Could you ask one of the board guides to amalgate your two threads as it is very confusing.

If you read the thread to which I gave you a link on the other post, you will see the RMA ONLY deal with people by phone and will defend this. However, you are entitled to complain.

I've only just noticed my other thread, I started that one over a week ago and thought it had long disappeared. I guess RMA have a lot to answer for. I have received letters from RMA in the past, so I was just as suprised as some to find they are a telephone based company only. I shall be making the complaint if it was them that called as I've asked them to provide written proof of my oustanding balance, which they have failed to do so far, and they are obliged to provide this.

Off the RMA topic, but now Mercer acting on behalf of Barclaycard. I received a default notice from them for one of my Barclaycards saying I have defaulted on my payments, which I haven't. They also say I have not responded to the letter I received from Barclaycard, with regards me defaulting on my payments. I haven't received any such letters though. I'm hoping to be able to make offers to clear my debts before the end of the year but for some reason some of my creditors seem to be getting a bit "fidgity". Perhaps they have second sense or something.:rotfl:

Excuse my ignorance but what is a CCA that I've seen mentioned in other threads.

Consumer Credit Agreement, the document that DCas have to produce to prove that they ar entitled to collect the debt from you (with the letter of assignement from the original creditor), under the Consumer credit Act.

you have to send a quid to get it and they have 12+2 to comply. if they do not and are still deliquent after another 30 days, you can tell them where to go.

mm2000 - Mercers are Barclaycard. I'm currently taking a case through the Financial Ombudsman against Barclaycard/Mercers because of the problems you mention i.e. non existant letters, not responding to letters, making an arrangement with me and then renaging on it - I could go on but life's too short!
