Another affordability check moan

I asked my current mortgage provider to check for the best mortgage to be on as we're on SVR at the moment. I also wanted to know how much we could borrow as we're thinking of moving. Due to their affordability check, they can't offer us a new mortgage for moving house, nor due to one late credit card payment last July, will they offer a transfer for our current mortgage. The irony is that, since going from fixed to SVR, our repayment has reduced and my wage has increased (marginally). :mad: :mad: :mad: I am now a mortgage prisoner.
