Being on an arrangement with mbna doesnt mean you cant claim back the
charges - i did :-) but after i'd paid them back. How much exactly do the
fees come to? as in - how much of the 7260.94 would they wipe out?
that's brilliant!! I've never tried to calculate it - as ive said, i've been 3 years with no card and my final amount has gone up by at leat 1500 in that time, specially since jan this year. I will write and ask and loo through my statements too. thank you so much for responding - good to hear of your success. jauqieAiming to take control of my life:A

You CAN claim back any penalty charges, which have been applied over the last 6 years, such as late payment fees and excess balance fee charges, in the same way as claiming back your Bank Charges. Personally, if you are trying to go for a Full and Final Settlement, I would leave this until after you have agreed, in writing, a settlement figure.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
