Persistent texts from loan companies!!! HELP!!!

Hi,

I don't know if I'm posting in the right place, but I am just so frustrated, and need some help.

I separated from my ex partner 8 months ago. Recently, I have received two separate letters for him, stating he has been applying for loans at my address, when he has his own address. Since I have phoned the two companies, and given them the info that he is using my address fraudulently, I have been receiving 20-30 texts a day from different companies telling me that they have been passed my loan application, often for £3000, and I should contact them. However, I have never applied for a loan in my life!!

My ex has a history with money (he stole our sons savings, then stole a significant amount of mine) and I have never taken it any further as he agreed to sign the mortgage over to me. I am now wondering if he has been applying for loans in my name?

I know nothing about these types of things, and am always careful who I give my personal info to for this very reason!
Not sure what to do now, and how to find out if he has been applying for loans in my name.

Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks :)

The easiest thing to do is probably to change your mobile number, in all honesty.
"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."
  • Thanks! I plan on doing that, but how do I find out if he has applied for a loan in my name? I think he would do it as 'payback' for reporting him to the loan companies, with the hope that I get blacklisted (and his son might I add!!) Thats the most upsetting part of it :(

Check your credit report with the 3 ref agencies would be a start.
  • Ok, and does it show up on your credit report everytime you apply for a loan??

It's actually 'noddle' not 'noodle', an entirely different concept, I believe.
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who do not.

I would also recommend adding a CIFAS marker on your credit file, stating that fraudulent loan applications have been attempted.
