Any experience of Aldermore

They are currently doing 95% ltv, help to buy. Rates arent great, but they dont credit score, and manually under right.

Hoping to get 95% but have 2 late payments to a communication provider one in June and Sept last year, which genuinely was a blip, and have documents to prove this, but cant get it through credit scoring elsewhere.

Does anyone have any experience, and if we get a DIP how reliable is it?

Affordability wise we are fine, and no other debt etc.

I use Aldermore quite a bit. Theyre based just down the road from where I live and I know a few people who work for them.

Not market leading rates but they are not looking to be the cheapest.

If you are looking for a new build then be careful as they do not allow "incentives", they also do not like ex local authority properties. They have a few quirks but in the main a good lender who are in the main easy enough to use.

  • Thanks. Is the dip fairly reliable?
How strict are they at 95%? Would you see 2 late payments 12 and 10 months ago on a communication account being a problem. Rest of credit file fine and affordability good to.

The DIP is only a soft footprint so not the most reliable.

It fits criteria by the sounds of it but it would come down to the underwriters discretion. I suspect it probably would go through, I dont think you have many other options so its probably worth giving it a bash?

  • Ok thanks.
Running through dip on Friday. Reason I'm so keen to know is because if can do 95% then can afford to reduce our house slightly for a quicker sale. Have dip I from halifax but for 85%.
  • Well DIP went through fine.
So hoping all will be ok. When you say soft footprint what exactly will they have been able to see?

but they dont credit score, and manually under right.

They will still use datasets available from the CRA's and other sources such as NHunter and Trust Registrty.
  • Do they ue datasets at DIP stage or at full app? Im trying to establish if the DIP they have given us is reliable.

Me and my partner have just taken a mortgage out with aldermore and we didn't have no problems at all, wen we applied for the full application it took them about 2 weeks to get back to us.
