Halifax to cease lending to existing homweowners in new HTB-EL cases?

  • Is it not a requirement for htb agent that the customer has a IFA & you have to put there details on the application, so if you are going direct with the halifax branch would you just put their details or would you still need to see an advisor even though you know you will have to use the halifax branch and do it direct with them rather than the advisor?

    Holiday Haggler I've been Money Tipped!
    It does feel that when I was buying - it came down to Nationwide or Halifax. I originally had a DIP with Halifax but went with NW over incentives.

    I wonder if we now see rates increasing for EL mortgages - as it seemed NW were marketleading with the best rate!

    Halifax back in the HTB - EL market for homemovers (via brokers) tomorrow.

    New max loan £250k, up from £150k for all.
