Didn't Bradford and Bingley also get nationalized? Any idea whereabouts in London either of those places are? I guess south east as I don't recall seeing them on the tube map.

I believe that both Bradford and Bingley are to be found in that part of London known as 'Yorkshire'.

Semi-seriously, from a UK perspective, you could say that the notable feature of the banking crisis was that it involved wannabee provincial financial insitutions, who tried and failed to play in the same league as the London big boys.
