How long is it valid for?

Evening all,

Me and my gf have recently been offered a flat from a family member. To cut the story short, our mortgage application has been approved, however, the property won't be vacant until September 1st as it still has a tenant in it.

If we've been accepted, start paperwork with the solicitor and pay the fees, are we still entitled to the product even if we can't start repaying it for another 2-3 months?

Thanks,
Prog324

You will need to check your paperwork or ask your lender how long it is valid for.

If the tenant refuses to leave, it could be longer than September.

Dont part with any money yet, the tenants could stay for months if they want to be awkward. see your solicitor on how to proceed.

    Read your mortgage offer.

Don't waste any money until you are certain the tenant is leaving.
