I thought it was week 4 this week. That's what Google calendar says. This app says it is week 5?
There isnt really an "official" week number. Depends what you count as week 1 .
There are different versions which tell you start with the first complete week, first week with any days , first week which includes a Thursday
( I have no idea what either Aldi or Lidl use )0 -
I emailed the app maker and told him the number was wrong. He looked into it and has just emailed back me to say I was correct. He has made an update on Google Play. Today is 0402 i.e. week 4 day 2 (Tuesday). The app will be useful on my phone as a quick reference. If you have already downloaded the app go to Google Play and update it. You will see the numbers change.0

Not sure about that, carrots bought last Tuesday, (02 February), have the code; 0505, and no "proper dates".
Full details from pack:
Produce of Lancs UK
Defra Ref A22861
Supplier Ref 1292
0505 S1
14:09 030
I have just called ALDI CS, (0800 0420800), and have been informed that there is no legal requirement to show dates and it is just the way they do it, as said earlier the code, (0505 in bold above), is week and day, Monday being day 01.

.
The second '05' means that they should be removed off the shelf on that date. So they would be taken off public display at end of Friday night that same week.
That's how they do it at my local Aldi store. I remember hearing one of the supervisors there once not being very happy about a particular person not doing the stock date check the day before.
I think that member of staff got their hair parted the next day as it's not happened since.:)The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0
