Halifax and need some loan

What's the emergency that requires £10,000 in cash?
How quickly will you be able to pay it back? A money transfer (balance transfer to your current account) might be available from your card, but it'd need to be paid back in months before it gets expensive.0 -
You will need to disclose to the bank some idea of what the money is for. You won't say on here, which is your business, but the fact that you only feel £10k 'in cash' will serve your purpose won't look good to a lot of lenders, if you already have £12k of available credit and can't use that.
Again, without having an idea of what you are seeking it for, it's hard to offer any other advice. If you are lending it to a family member for something like a house-purchase deposit, bear in mind that loans can't be used for that, so you won't get one, and you'd have to sign something saying it's a gift so you won't have any recourse for getting it back.
If it was for flights, transport, a car, medical bills etc, you could use a card.
If it is for loan sharks etc, you need to keep well clear and report it to the police if the threat of violence is there. If it is from legitimate lenders then the person needs to go into a DMP and stop pestering you.
We could go on forever, but without any other info, the advice will be limited. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
