I don't have a dentist - help

Over the last few years I've suffered with severe depression and neglected my teeth. I had root canal done a couple of years back and never went back for a check up, as a consequence I lost my dentist. Recently I bit into a hard biscuit and my filling and half the tooth fell out. Anyway long story short I'm desperate for a dentist but all my local ones are full and have really long waiting lists. I have a lovely smile and my teeth look really nice when I smile, so I'm gutted that half my tooth has broke
Does anyone have any advice how I can get a dentist?

If you contact your PCT they should be able to give you a list of all the nearest NHS dentists who are accepting patients. Otherwise I'd suggest calling the 111 number and asking for a list of dentists or going to your Doctor to ask for a referral if it's an emergency.0

Is there a dental hospital in Bradford? if so you could turn up there and they usually see so many on a first come first served basis.
If not then there will be an emergency dentist available but you will have to say it hurts otherwize you will get fobbed off. if you ring NHS direct they should be able to give you the number of one.
Here some http://www.yell.com/s/emergency+dentists-bradford-west+yorkshire.html.
If no local dentists are taking on at the moment you may have to get one not as local but within the city. Its better than having dental problems.0 -
I did ring NHS and got seen yesterday by an emergency dentist that told me some bad news, she said I will have to have the tooth out. I'm gutted because from the outside my teeth look good and having a tooth missing is gonna make my depression even worse
She said I have to get myself a dentist.
I am willing to travel anywhere within West Yorkshire for a dentist. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
