Hi
Can anyone help me with a teen membership for DW gym. My daughter has just turned 16 and they have put her membership up to that of a student over 18 years old. Their terms and conditions on their website are below
''Additional Terms and Conditions for Teen Members
> 1. Teens members should be 14-17 years of age. Teens aged 14-15 years old must have their membership agreed by a parent/guardian and undertake an induction upon joining, supervised by a parent or guardian along with any subsequent one-to-one sessions with a DW member of staff.
> 2. Teens can use the club facilities without parental supervision; however, teens aged 14-15 years old must undertake an induction upon joining supervised by the parent or guardian. Subsequently, any one-to-one sessions involving the teen and a member of DW staff must also be supervised by the parent or guardian.
> 3. Teens can use all facilities as per the terms and conditions, those aged 14-15 years old are prohibited from using free weights, spinning, BODYPUMP or Pump FX classes.
> 4. Standard suspension rules apply; as per paragraph 13, though Teen members are not subject to a monthly suspension fee.
> 5. Should a Teen member turn 18 years old during their membership;
> 1. Paragraph 4 of the terms and condtions shall be replaced with; They are exempt from paying up front and will be subject to a monthly direct debit payment plan.
> 2. Upon turning 18 years old, they membership will automatically change to an off peak student membership and the monthly membership fees will be altered in accordance with the membership rates in place at their local club. The terms and conditions as laid out in paragraph 19 of the terms and conditions will also take effect.'
I have emailed them asking for an explanation but have not had the courtesy of a reply.
Can anyone give me any advice on this or has anyone been in the same situation.
Many thanks:)
