hey everyone.


am currently in the process of planning my wedding next year.


will be in North Wales, near Harlech.


the venue will a marquee which will be next to the family home in a field which my future mother in law uses currently for a caravan site


anyways, have got a lot sorted already even though we aren't getting married till next August.


1 thing which is proving a stumbling block is getting a band in to play.


id love a band, and have been getting various quotes of around £700-£900, which I thought was quite steep.


I don't like the idea of just getting a DJ in to play his ipod for us as I think that lacks a bit of oomph. every good wedding ive been to a band has been playing.


just wondering if any of you can recommend a band in the north wales area? or maybe have suggestions for me on how else I can go about entertaining the masses

Hi ,
I was wondering have you been to any live band nights like free mic nights ? If so maybe any band you like would be willing to do it slightly cheaper as it can raise their profile such as if they have a website you could leave reviews etc

That sounds about right. My son plays in a Rock Covers band in Oxfordshire and they charge £800 for a wedding.

Hi there, we got married in Colwyn Bay last year and booked a great acoustic band, they learnt our favourite songs and played me down the aisle, during the drinks reception and got everyone up dancing for the night do as well, really good value for money. We were going to book them just for the night but went for the full day instead. I think they are from Yorkshire but they seem to play all over the country, might be worth checking them out? http://www.rockmyreception.co.uk/
