Pay off debts before Baby number 2!!

I have decided to round up this diary now as the title doesn't suit our aims now as baby number 2 is here and now 9 weeks old!!

The aim of starting this was to motivate us into paying back 2 credit cards and an overdraft before our second child arrived at the end of October so we would have more money each month and could start throwing extra money at our mortgage so we could afford to move to a bigger house in a few years.


However, since our LBM we had some problems with our neighbours which lead to the decision to sell our house now and achieve a new dream of moving to the country (with the help of the bank of mum and dad.)
If we hadn't decided to move then I have worked out that we would have paid of all the debt, even the energy debt which came into view after our LBM.
I am extremely pleased with our progress and have learned so much in the last 6 months. Now we have completed our family and (almost - by the end of January) moved house, I am going to start an new diary to chart our progress towards our next set of goals. I really enjoy seeing the total debt going down and this helps my daily decision making when it comes to our money.
