Career Development Loans for Post-grad student (advice wanted)
Hi,
I'm looking for advice on taking out a career development loan. I have recently been accepted on a Masters abroad (in Finland). I'm from the UK. Luckily, there are no course fees involved. All that is required is to cover living expenses.
Unfortunately, I'm not from a privileged background - in fact my parents have been divorced for well over a decade - and so falling back on family earnings is simply not an option. I'm considering taking a CDL out, if possible, but am scared about it's impact after the two years are finished.
With regards to savings, I have been working on and off part time during the length of my degree (will officially graduate in July). The past year has been particularly good, as I have been freelancing in an engineering field (I have a previous qualification) with almost full time hours. However, now that the contract is coming to an end, I definitely would not have much to fall back on looking ahead to the Masters.
I'd be particularly interested to hear from any post-grads who have had similar experience. Equally, if there are other avenues I could explore, please do let me know.
With many thanks

I am also looking to get Career development loan for the distance learning programme MBA Oil & Gas from Middlesex University London .
Is there anyboby who can suggest me the how can I avail this loan , from where it can be availed and some use help to get it.
Thanks0 -
I am thinking it should be no different from loans for medical residency or bar exam study. I would do some googling on post graduate loans. I know that Sallie Mae has a Smart Option student loan but I am not sure if it extends to the UK.0
