Job Seekers Allowance & Course Funding

Hi,
I am currently looking at doing a number of courses to assist in my chances of getting back to work at the end of the year.
I used to be a project manager - predominantly in signage for such people as NHS, Local Authorities, Colleges/Universities and major retailers
At present I am not allowed to drive until 1st December 2014 due to an existing medical condition.
I am claiming JSA as the people at ATOS have recently considered me fit enough to look for work.
This itself is causing problems, I'm over qualified and experienced for a lot of the more simple admin jobs that are advertised or the job which I can do or are contacted about expect the person to drive/have a licence etc
Or in some cases the job itself even though its office based is totally impractical to get to on public transport
Whilst I am looking for work I have talked to the DWP about going on various courses
I also need to know if there is a better way or more efficient way to do item 3
Any help and assistance on this would be gratefully appreciated
Thanks
Philip

- First Aid - need to do the four day course again as my renewal lapsed whilst I was in the hospital at the end of last year. The DWP were sorting this out with the local college at no cost
- SMSTS - Site Manager Safety Training Scheme as I'm finding it harder to get jobs without the qualification. After speaking to my adviser at the DWP they tell me there is a training budget per person of £200 per person - the course that I'm looking at is £495.00 plus VAT.
- Microsoft Project - Is something that a lot of employers at as well. I have found an online tutorial course and also a free trial download (60 day - max) of Microsoft Project
I also need to know if there is a better way or more efficient way to do item 3

Sadly you are unlikely to find the SMSTS any cheaper it is not delivered my many colleges and does not attract SFA funding. I would speak to your local FE College, however and find out if they have ESF Skills Support for Unemployment funding as this may cover the cost.0
