Now I feel as tho im being ripped off and theres nothing I can do about it...
I rang the council to complain about Rossendales charges £264.73 for 1 enforcement letter.
Rossendales were passed my case 11/10/13 and they hand delivered 2 letters to my last known address (I've been here 6 years) so must have been the one before this. If they were delivered at all..
He says what Rossendales charge is out of his hands, even tho I can prove I was not living at the address when these letters were suppose to have been hand delivered...
Resist the temptation to pick up the phone, do a Google search for "bailiffs fees", then write a letter of complaint to Rossendale's saying you dispute the charges they have added.
Ask for a full explanation and breakdown of charges.

The last fee of £235 is wrong and cant be charged .
The £235 fee is charged under the new Taking Control of Goods Regulations 2013 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/1894/contents/made
The £235 fee can ONLY be charged AFTER they have issued you with a Notice of Enforcement Letter charging you £75 * AND waiting 7 days after the issue of the Notice of Enforcement
(*Note the £75 and £235 fees are set by the Ministry of Justice and the MINIMUM fees that can be charged, Rossendales MAY charge more if they want , any fees charged are paid FIRST to the MoJ .)
Therefore any fees they want to charge are under the old legislation and not Taking Control of Goods.0 -
The above fee £235.00 was charged in accordance with the Tribunals Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 (inclusive of amendments) following a visit made by Mr D Simpson who was certificated at Burnley Combined Courts centre on 6th August 2013.0
