My debt struggle - update

I wanted to post an update to my struggle. A year or so ago our financial situation was a disaster and all our own doing, we had payday loan, credit card and unnecessary debt coming out of our ears and didn't know what we were going to do.
The first thing we did was to pull our heads out of the sand and faced it. I was very lucky and my boss gave me a no interest loan to pay off the pay day loans and this is now all paid back too. We now have payment arrangements with creditors and for the last 5/6 months have been living quite comfortably. My husband has had a pay rise and works a lot of overtime, I fit in as many extra hours as possible to fit around the kids too.
We now get little luxuries and a treat once or twice a month :-)
My real reason for writing this is to war people anoint becoming complacent and to reiterate to myself the importance of both being strict with my budget and not relying on overtime. This month my hubby's overtime sheet was not submitted on time and therefore not being paid until next month! This is only really a problem because this has been an expensive month with children's birthdays, Father's Day and end of year shows to attend.
The lesson learned is that we need to have a rainy day fund for these occasions as now for the next 4 weeks we have a small budget and we will need to say bye bye to treats and cut back on our shopping trolleys. But I am very lucky that this is not a way of life anymore and proud that we have come through this and are now living not existing!
