I want to thank everyone on this forum who helped me with advice and support on my journey to clearing my debts, in particular Ampersand and Hovel Lady, who were there from my first post a couple of years ago. Thanks people, I don't think I'd have got this far without you all.
I wont go into the full length story but it is here on the forum somewhere if anyone wants to find it. short version is that I suffer from depression and this, combined with a serious gambling habit, got me into some really difficult times when I owed some serious money, £180 000 in fact, to various places and people.
Thanks to the above mentioned people and Stepchange I have now reduced my debt to about £74,000, so a long way to go but at least I sleep at nights now.
I dont post often on here but I do read the forum and still take advice because you can never have enough help.
If you are reading this and you are thinking about clearing your debts but haven't started yet, you are in the right place. There are some truly inspirational people on this forum that you can learn from.
That's it for now.
Thank you all
