Birmigham airport apcoa parking fine

Hi, i have recieved a 100 pound charge from apcoa, in the letter are photos etc, the charge notice number is not recognised on the pcn payment website, i have put the same number into that cowboy website, sorry cant remember the correct name, the charge notice number comes up as april 2011 as opposed to may 2014. Does this help my appeal or do i send in the standard template letter anyway as my first option. Thanks

The parking cowboys checker is for checking POPLA codes which are the appeal codes people get after appealing to the PPC. You haven't got that yet.

So just send the template letter as normal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The simplest thing to do is send the appeal to APCOA as per the Newbie thread. Get Rejection along with POPLA code. Appeal to POPLA and win.
    Do not pay the £100!

Don't ignore them though and don't miss the appeal deadline. You have to play the game.

Search the forum for 'APCOA Airport' or click on 'How to win at POPLA' in post #3 of the newbies thread - either way you will find APCOA POPLA appeal examples already written - for you merely to tweak and send to POPLA!

  • I am just about to send off my popla appeal, 1 question before i send it, in the 4 boxes for appeal, "not liable for charge", "excessive charge" and "not improperly parked", am i ticking all 3 boxes, the car was not stolen so that one is not an option.
    thanks

correct, 3 from 4 seeing as they dont have boxes for the actual appeal types (despite complaints asking them to provide more boxes for the usual appeal types)
  • Thanks REDX
