I was discussing this thread with my fiance last night... he was quite shocked. I told him not to expect a gift, I'm giving him a wife - what more does he want? (I'm also paying for most of the wedding LOL)
Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A
I got OH a celtic inspired pocket watch as we were getting married in Scotland.
I also got him cold feet socks and on Amazon I brought this little bag called the Groom's Survival Kit it had lots of silly bits in it with a card to explain each item it was really sweet. It had things like a piece of "gold" to show he was worth his weight in gold to me, a candy watch to make sure he was on time. It was only about £6 too
I also wrote him an essay in his card about our lives together and my hopes for our future apparently it made him well up a little bit
First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T
I got mine a pocket watch engraved with an in-joke. No one else would understand if they saw it but it makes him laugh. He loved wearing it on the day and will probably wear it every time we go somewhere special together for the rest of our lives.
