Assuming of course that the installer gives you those certificates before he leaves ! If not, you'll need to ask him for those figures if you want to get the FIT forms completed promptly.
As you have to send a copy of the MCS and EPC certificates with your application form it is probably better to wait until you have them before completing the form.0 -
From my own recent experience, as soon as my installer received my cheque (physically received as opposed to having it cleared in the bank) which was the same day as they finished install, they emailed me my MCS and EPC certificates.4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350

My company is going to send the MCS on payment which they say will be a couple of days after the install. I'll make the transfer the same day but I guess they take a couple of days to go through their system. I guess they hold back the MCS to ensure payment.
They offered an EPC for £90 but I had one done for £45 - could have gone for £35 but the £45 guy could do it the following day.0 -
All went well. The project manager went through the FIT application form - I'd filled in most of it already but he spotted some things I'd missed. He gave me the equipment model/serial numbers for the form and company info.
He did say to put down the meter reading for the installation date whereas the form says the date they receive the application. I emailed the application (scanned completed form) I called them and they just said send an email with the current days generation reading.
The PM went through where to get generation readings which I need to send quarterly, how to check that the system is performing ok against standard values, how to reset the system and how to use my monitor (OWL).
Paid in full yesterday and today received the receipt and MCS certificate and sent in the FIT application.0
