At what age does an absent father stop paying CSA (CM)

I am wanting to find out at what age 'the absent father' would stop paying CSA (CM), not the age of the children. I can not find very much to tell us this information, only information about the age it stops from the childrens age point of view.

CM does not have a bearing on the fathers age. Its only bearing is the children's age which is currently up to 20 years old depending on education needs. A father doesn't get to say 50 years old and suddenly have a ticket out of providing towards their children's upbringing. Even if you retired, you would have deductions from pensions to support your children.
Unless I am not understanding your question, it seems like the most ridiculous thing to ask!?0 -
Why would a child not need maintaining just because his father reached retirement age. I think you are clutching at straws. If you are old enough to make a child then you're old enough to be financially responsible for it.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I am not the father, but asking this about my partners children. I know it may seem a silly question, and agree what ever age you are you should be paying for your children. But I could not find anything online to say if it stopped when the father reached a certain age. I am happy for the children that the father will still get to pay for his children. We have opted to place the money they get in to their own bank accounts to give them a leg up later on in life, like money for a flat, a car or a holiday before they start working. Hoping to guide them in a better direction than their older half brothers.0

If you budget for when the child(ren) get to 19 in September then that will be close, nurtutring them to stand on their own feet and to work for what they want rather than depend on handouts from parents or otherwise may place them in a better direction than their half brothers.0 -
i think a father stops paying for his children when he's dead, just like a mother, we pay for them and help them all their lives, (well decent ones do )0
