£10 to £100 in a year. £100-£1000 the next year, £1000-£10,000 the year after that!

Options
Starting a new challenge, I'm going to try and make £100 from a tenner I found in my wallet today. I then thought it would be good to build on this idea and see if I could 'scale it up' the year after to £1000, and for good measure, £10,000 the year after that.

Just a bit of fun and probably wont achieve the £10,000 target, but may as well give it a go.

I'm going to try and make my £100 from free bet offers, food vouchers and trying to resell stuff from boot sales/ auctions etc.

If anyone wants to join in, please feel free. It may be useful to include some sort of running total on your thread/ in your signature, so we can see what date you started, and your money made to date.

Started June 2014 - £10
Current total - £10
Target amount - £100
Target date - June 2015

Any surplus can be 'rolled over' into next year for the £1000 target.

Wish me luck!
June 2013 mortgage:£130,600
June 2014 target: £120,738
Yearly target £9862achieved so far £8000

    Hi,

I think you'll achieve this easily using this site! I made £5,000 yr 1 and am on track to do the same this year. Good luck!

I'll be eagerly watching this thread :) I've regularly flipped things and made lots of profit. Don't forget about the taxman though as you'll want to declare any earnings you make buying and selling for profit.

Best of luck to you and if you have any questions feel free to message me, I've made almost £6,000 since 1st January thanks to MSE ;) Might update my signature in a bit now I think about it!

  • Hi,

I think it is a great idea!

I am new to all of this MSE money saving/making so please share HOW you make money on here.

I sell stuff on ebay but I make very little these days. Usually kids clothes and stuff like that.

Great, glad to see people getting on board and hanks for your info wizzbang and katykicker. I will have a look through your posts and see how you both managed such a fantastic achievement.

The main thing working against me is time. I want to devote about an hour or two max per day to this venture, so am interested in time efficient ways of making my £10 grow. If you guys could pm me any tips, they would be great fully received!

  • I used to do all sorts of things, and generally I'd come out even, but I'm still using the washing powder I stashed 2 years ago!! all good, I have to say that I made a decision to start my own business with £1000 and I'm on track to making it turnover to £30,000k per month in 6-7 years time. I have the mindset of a millionaire :) good luck with it!! if you believe you can, you will...word of warning though, when I see 'probably wont reach £10k target' I translate that into definitely wont! get that belief right up!!!
