What's the chances

We're currently on a DMP and have been for 4 years

We've had our mortgage with the same bank for 12 years (Nat West)
No mortgage payments have ever been missed.
My OH company is relocating 50 miles away, rather than travel everyday, we we're think of buying a property closer to the new location.
What's the chances of getting a new mortgage with our current mortgage provider, or are we wasting our time even thinking about it?

I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you

The DMP is almost certainly a deal breaker. Selling up and releasing the equity to settle your existing debts would be a major step forward.0

Hi,
We sold our house last year and naively assumed that as we were already with Santander, had an existing mortgage for more than what we were going to ask for and never missed a payment, that it would sail through. I was wrong. It declined at the decision in principle stage. I'm not on a DMP and never have been but have historical defaults.
We still sold and are currently in rented accommodation.
Good luck.0 -
There is only one lender I know about that would consider it, but they would require the DMP to be paid off in full.
Natwest are not going to allow you to port the mortgage.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
