ITV Call ....but turned into a sales call

Just had a call which my hubby answered and he said it was for me from ITV and I was OMG OMG I have won something good. Took the call and he said something which I didn't catch and then said I had entered a ITV comp but sadly I wasn't picked as the winner this time (totally gutted) but was I interested in what ever he was selling I said no and he said ok we will phone you back later in the year you could tell from the back ground noise it was a call centre.
Has anyone else had this call?

Not had that before, and I enter all the ITV comps... I'm surprised you had something like that, unless you've ever ticked the box that say "Please send me emails about ITV products and services and selected third party offers," which I'm guessing you haven't.

If you're TPS-registered (works for landlines and mobiles), best thing is to try telling them you're registered with the TPS, and to remove you from their list. That way, if they call again, you can report them.

Yeah, I had this before re: a sky package. The sales person was dead on, I was quite interested in finding out what deal they were offering but my phone signal cut out before they got round to it. They never called me again and that was well over a year ago so I dont think they'll harass anyone.
