The one in Argos for £129.99 is for the older 16gb version, the Sun one appears to be the newer version which is £199 for the 32G so an even bigger bargain!

Aye if the picture is accurate, but the spec's don't say anything about which version it is (so they could claim the picture isn't representative).

I also get a bit nervous about the "subject to availability", and that you can cancel within 14 days without penalty, but the dispatch of the tablet is within 21 days..

It's been confirmed on HDUK that it's the newer version and I asked myself and they said if they're out of stock then you can either get a refund or wait until they have them in stock.

The catch with this is that if you don't cancel within the first 14 days, then you can't cancel until 15 days before the first year is up. They're obviously relying on people forgetting, although easy enough to remember if you put reminders on a few calendars.

Quidco £5 cash back too, so £81.70

Other cash back sites may be available.

Hopefully this question doesn't sound too stupid... Having read the T&Cs, I haven't been able to figure it out.
So, I sign up to sun+, get my lovely new tablet, then cancel the sun+ subscription within the 14 days. Do I get to keep the tablet? I'm guessing not, but I'm not sure.

There will be no cancellation loophole here. Its a twelve month subscription payable up front for the full 86.70 and receive a Nexus 7 after about a month. Remember to cancel in 350 to 365 days time to avoid being charged automatically for the second year.
    Voila, a Nexus 7 rrp £229 for just £86.70.

PS written on a new Nexus 7 :-) its worth it.

    Morning!

Is this Sun+ membership? As it won't seem to let me log in now I'm registered, I haven't received a confirmation email for subscription either?
  • Well, i've been brave and gone for it - i couldn't hope to get such a good tablet for that budget - i just need to remember to cancel it on June 1st 2015 !

Yeah, me too. We'll have to remind each other to cancel in a year's time! Thanks for posting, I had an email about it but wasn't sure till I read the discussion.
  • This is a great offer. I wont quite believe it until my nice new shiny Nexus 7 lands on my doorstep. I have a fear of foreboding that Anne Robinson might get involved in this at some point.
