For what its worth though, there seems an AWFUL lot more stock in the sale than usual for the summer sale - it feels more like the Christmas one - anyone else think the same? For example, there were literally 20 or so different pairs of jeans in my size, and 15-20 different pairs in boys jeans (usually there are only a few in the sale).

Does this mean that some additional items, not in the VIP sale, may be in store Saturday or will stores only have a selection of what was in the VIP sale?

I may be corrected by someone who works for Next but my understanding was that they both work from the same discount list (i.e. you are unlikely to find somethign full price on the website but discounted in store (unless display homeware I guess...)).

However, the stores carry different stock levels so something may be sold out online and not even appear in the online sale but be in a store and discounted in the sale... Obviously the stores don't stock a lot of stuff that is in the online catalogue so I have always found the store sales to be completely hit and miss as far as identifying somethign online and trying to get it in store.

Got a 9pm slot for tonight - lots of stuff I wanted still there. Just for the record I don't get the Directory anymore and have only ordered once this season which was sent back!

I agree with you Ziggy. I even phoned Next CS about 3 years ago to tell them that making people have a directory to get a VIP slot was ridiculous as it just gets thrown in the recycling by people who shop online instead. They claimed it wasn't part of the criterior and that I must not meet something else that's required. They obviously lied to me as it's still being quoted year's later by people who work there.

And if so, how does it work? Am I better to go in store on Saturday morning to try and order, or will I have more luck on line?
