I'm a bit fed up of making cards, and a friend of mine, has seen some wine glasses on facebook, that are basically wine glasses, with the top of them, painted in coloured paint with glitter in it.
I wondered if anyone had done this or knew how to do it.
thanks in advance.

do you mean something like this?
http://www.handimania.com/diy/painted-bottle-vases.html
if not and it is the outside that is painted ....
hobbycraft sell glass paints http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/hobbies/glass-and-ceramic-painting/glass-paint
they also do a "how to" guide http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/supplyimages/WF1002/How-To-Paint-On-Glass.pdf
also you can find glass paints and brushes on ebay
painting onto glass is funny though cos you end up moving the paint around a lot. so to stop that happening you can use an outliner which come in different colours.0 -
If you put the paint on then use a stippling action the paint will spread properly with no brush marks....0

I went hobby craft, and bought some modge podge glue, and the girl showed me the glitter I wanted..........seems I didnt' want this type, I needed very fine glitter, which hobbycraft didn't have, but never mind, I did a few glasses with this ordinary glitter, but it just didn't look right, so I've ordered some fine glitter from e-bay it came yesterday and I've going to do some new ones now.
it's real easy, just paint the glass with modge podge, cover with glitter, leave to dry, then cover with modge podge glue again to seal.............some say there tacky but our girls like them.
didnt' know what to do with the other glitter I had, so I bought a cheap bathroom set from b and m, and covered it with pva then the gitter and then pva again, when set, did it in dark blue, and it looks lovely in the bathroom.0
