Hello lovely DFWers - old timers and newbies. :j
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will do the following:
- send everyone off with packups
- go to the bank to hand deliver letters cancelling some DDs.
- do online banking and update spreadsheet
- apart from an onion - have a NSD
- stick to storecupboard mealplan - corned beef hash tonight
- not increase my debt in any way
- be positive
- start sorting car insurance due at the weekend, through quidco of course!
Have a good day everyone xx

- I will not increase my debt
- Be hugely thankful as the sun is shining
Just saw your sig hypno - you are brave, being DFW is hard enough, cutting out chocolate would be even harder!!0 -
-Today I will explore doing a meal plan (we've been clearing out the freezer for the last month and are beginning to see the shelves).
-I've piggy clicked
-I've "spent" the points earned on a credit card and will close this one when my gift arrives
-I've done our on-line banking-we'll make it to OH's payday on Friday-phew.0 -
Evening all.
Today's little DFW things are:
* Took HM lunch to work (ahem...still popped out for some crisps later though - ooops).
* Got a lift home from work.
* Did QuidCo searches & ordered some hair product via QuidCo. Money has already tracked.
* Entered Pigsback comps.
* Am doing a half load of washing (on economy with half amount of powder) and will get this dry outside.
* Used an e-voucher online for the hair product.
* Checked online banking & updated spreadsheet.
* Added a few more bits of change to my jam jar challenge pot.
* Will drive tonight when meeting friends for a drink & will buy my own.
Now I must track down yesterdays DFW things thread as I didn't post! :eek:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
