I'd say that it should be on offer everywhere, although the smaller stores can't stock every line the bigger ones can.

Tesco do have an unfortunate reputation for this sort of thing. It's usually purely accidental, ie. the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

I've always found their head office customer service people to be very efficient and helpful, and prepared to admit to and apologise for errors. I'd send them a message via the website.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
  • They do make mistakes, however they can have different offers at different store types, I see no reason why not, if the national advertising is correct and the products are labelled correctly?

Having said that, did you check what the item actually scanned at in the Metro? They make mistakes both ways round, i.e. if they forgot to put out the special offer label, the product could have been cheaper than it appeared on the shelf.

The prices /offers shown on the website are for online orders picked from your nearest store that does deliveries ? ( i.e. will not be applicable at all stores )

Yup online offers can be different from in-store offers, I've noticed this a few times with wine, for example. In and around London / home counties, the orders may not even be picked form a store, they have some dedicated dot-com centres now.

There's lots of examples of different offers in different store types. For example pringles are bogof in Tesco main stores and are half price in Tesco express.
