CITB inspection

Hi

Not sure where I can post this, so if it needs to be moved, please do so.

Had notification from CITB that they want to inspect our records, been working here for 7 years and not had one before. Has anyone had any experience of this? Looking at the guide they have sent, it feels more like an HMRC inspection!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

  • I did work for the CITB and came on a few of the Levy Advisor's visits.

It is a random check to make sure that the figures that you declared are correct. So that you are paying the correct amount of levy to them. They are quite nice people - just let them see the records they need and if all is well, they will not be any bother. If they think you are underclaiming grant they may well end up with you getting more back from them.
