Just finished uni and not sure what I want...

As the title says, I've just finished uni, graduate in September, but still I don't know what kind of career I want. My degree was in music technology, but the majority of that was recording studio work which a) bored me and b) I wasn't very good at, so that's that out of the question.
At the moment I have a "part time job" (the job is supposed to be 16 hours but atm it's closer to double that)but it's minimum wage and I hate it, I don't really want to be there for much longer if I can help it.
How do I figure out what I want to do? All I've done job-wise so far is retail, but I don't want to be stuck there forever.

I think the best thing is to try lots of volunteer work and temp jobs.
Cut your part-time job back to the 16 hours if you can then you have an income but also time to see what you want to do.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Keep your options open and consider anything that comes along. Have a look at some of the recruitment websites on the Internet, something might appeal that you'd never considered before. Sign up to recruitment agencies. Whatever you do, do not stick with a job that you hate - there's always something better. It may not be the next job or the one after that but keep looking. Best of luck0

Heck I'm 44 and not sure what I want! Advice re temping etc is good, and also consider the following. Do you want
a) a job you really love, to turn into a career?
b) a job thats okay so long as the pay's good enough?
c) any job at all so long as it's excellent pay.
Once you have decided, write examples of what jobs you feel would fit into each category, and apply for that type of work. Check out the Jobcentre website for inspiration, and enjoy the fact that you have complete freedom of choice now!0 -

I feel you! When I took a level law, halfway through the year I realised I didn't really want to do law, so I dropped the class. It took a while to figure out what I want to do. But I'm in retail, crappy low paying job.
I would often close my eyes and imagine myself in a career. Where am I? What am I doing? It was always teaching, early education. So I am going to school in September!0
