My DM used to buy prunes in prune juice from Mr T's for many years. She gave up buying them for a while and then more recently wanted to start buying them again, as she likes the prune juice itself as well as the fruit, along with it being good for her now she's getting older, bless her heart.
However neither she nor I can now find any prunes in prune juice in any of our local Mr T or Sainsbobs. All the ones we find are either prunes in apple juice (ew) or prunes in some other fruit juice of some kind.
Can anyone tell me where oh where all the prune juice soaked ones are? Many thanks x

The only alternative to the juice of other fruits (apple, pear, mixed) seems to be syrup.0 -
prune juice on its own is available on the uht fruit juice aisle in tesco and tasted to me like the tinned stuff, perhaps you could strain a tin and replace with this? HTH0

If you ask at Customer Services Tesco might get back the item you are looking for, unless it has been discontinued of course.0

Tesco still do them. 80p a tin. You can get them on line to.

Yeah if you look on the back of the tin of those ones posted above they are prunes in apple juice and just the thing I'm looking to avoid.
Thanks for the notes about syrupy prunes, I will have to have a nose around for those!0 -
I was in Lidl this morning, I looked at the tinned prunes while I was there. They're in syrup, the ingredients are just prunes, water and sugar.
