IVA: Crazy idea!

    Good advice from your IP but perhaps not complete. The other alternative is that you could sell the house now and make a full and final offer of your debts going into the IVA less the amount already paid plus the IVA fees. If you did this, part of the offer would be that your creditors had no claim on PPI repayments so they would come to you.

    I would ask your IP when the PPI claim is expected to be sorted, if it is only a few months then waiting for that would be sensible. If it is longer (ie has it actually been started yet?) then you may prefer to get on with it.

    And of course it will take your a few months to move.

    Any sensible LL or LA will do a credit check and an employer check. Your IVA and part time work history may count against you.
