18th Birthday Decorations (Girl)

Options
Hi Folks

I just wondered whether anyone had any good ideas for making some hand made decorations?

My daughter is having a birthday party in a venue, but it could do with sprucing up a bit and as it's already costing a fortune, I wondered whether anyone had good ideas for hand made decorations?

Thanks

Sal

Not homemade but check out the pound shop. Ones near me have massive party sections with balloons, banners, streamers, ect. Getting a couple of them will probably be cheaper than making anything and much less effort :)

Or the Card Factory is good for banners, balloons etc.

This looks good and is so simple. You could use photos from her as a baby to now and make it a timeline.
Bunting is always nice and can be done with fabric or paper.

Its our DD's 18th next month an we are having a 'Chanel' esque themed party for her. I came across a flower wall on pinterest. Looks good and covers a large area- ideal for what I wanted for her. (Google Selfridges Chanel gardens- its that sort of thing). I looked on you-tube how to make large paper flowers and have made a wall full (to cover a 16 x 9ft dining room wall). It cost £4 for 100 sheets of white tissue paper (ebay), £shop pack of paper plates and hot glue gun . I also shaded the edges of the paper in pale pink ink to give definition. Once you have the hang of the folding (just concertina fold) they are a cinch to make. You can use different colour tissue if you want multi coloured flowers. hth

The flowers made using 6 full size sheets of tissue measure about 3 ft across, half size sheets about 20 inches. They are HUGE! Ideal for padding out decorations.

    Hi Murie

    Thank you!

Her birthday isn't until the 25th July and her actual party is on 31st July.

How did your daughter's party go, hope she had a lovely time! Did you take any photos?
