Work programme after finding job? 90/w

Hi,
I am seriously thinking of putting one lie in my cv. I am not getting any interviews, I have been unemployed for a long time and instead of being honest about that I thought I will put that I have worked as a nanny. It would not change any skills for the jobs I am applying for so I dont feel so bad about putting it down.
I am nervous about what the work programme does when you get a job? Will they call and talk to my employer? if so my lie might make me loose the job.
My new advisor said that when I start a job the government will give me 50/w and the work programme will give me 40/w. Does anyone know if that is true?

Your clueless advisor is making it up.0

You may be entitled to working tax credits when you find work, depending on your age and household income.
As for telling lies on your cv, that would be pretty stupid, especially if you are wanting to work with children.0 -
I dont want to work with children, that's why I dont feel too bad about lying, I wouldnt give myself any experiences or skills that would be an advantage for the job.0

I don't know what you mean by 40/w and 50/w. Basically, the WP will ring up your employer and check to see you are there, and then you will get ramdom phone calls to see if you need any support to keep your job. Don't know how they plan to fight redundancies, but there you go.
If you leave the job (For whatever reason) you will then go back to the WP.
The bit about saying you are a nanny could cause problems as they will ask for a reference from your last employer regardless of wether you work for them. I saw an old job app of mine and they rang employers from 1998!!
Have you been caring for children in a non employed way? Eg yours, family or anything like that? Can you say it was voluntary work (they will still ask for a reference).0 -
any future employer might ask the 'family you Nannied for' for a reference though. I can't think of a job that would lead to more personal interaction than nannying so I would have thought it would be a certainty.wonderring wrote: »I dont want to work with children, that's why I dont feel too bad about lying, I wouldnt give myself any experiences or skills that would be an advantage for the job.I'm not an AE I'm just an idiot who forgot to update email details, went away for a bit and then tried to come back after the old laptop died
