There is an apprentice vacancy close to me that I'd be interested in but only £140; would I be entitled to Housing Benefit etc if I was to apply and get this ?

    That depends on your household income and the maximum housing benefit you might be entitled to. Have you tried a benefits calculator?

    No, but this would be the only income coming in.
