For those having problems with the lifestyle section telling you to update, I recieved an email back to say it's a problem and to just ignore it as they see what you've answered anyway and it doesn't effect being accepted for trials :)

Thanks for this. :D I have e-mailed them a few times over the years and they have never replied.

Got accepted for a trial from Beauty Bible but was suprised to say they want £30! The cost was never mentioned until now! Do they really expect people to shell out this money on unknown products?

Personally think that the publishers of the book should cover any costs. The testers are contributing to the book so it seems really cheeky to me that they're asking for £30!
  • I'm on a Beauty Bible test at the moment. I'm sure it's luck of the draw but some of the products are total pants and I would never have bought them, however cheap, in the first place . All things considered you're probably better off spending the £30 on something you want or need. That said I'm a total sucker for things like this, People Tree goody bags of unwearable tat being the previous disappointment:)

I've tested twice now for Beauty Bible and have just paid for the third time, I've always had at least £200 worth of products and have found some great products that I've bought since. It's well worth it in my opinion.

But you can have a reaction to a product that is out on the shelves - these things happen, it's not exclusive to testing things. The testing isn't for safety, it's for how much you like it - how well it works, smells and such.

I've got the menstrual cup too - seems they've send out quite a few for testing! Mine is the 1 model, for under 30s/no kids.

I signed up to the beauty bible last year. I received an email which confirmed my name, number and email address and bizarrely it said red skin: followed by a blank space.

How do you get these trials? I have never received any info after that and no forms to fill in or anything so that they know my skin, hair or body type etc.
  • Got an invite for anti-ageing night cream again yesterday. I have so many different creams to use that I smother it on of a night.
