Second new job?

Okay so a week or so ago I posted about having new job, this has all gone perfect and off to training on 19th June so that is all great but I have a job interview tomorrow at a well known supermarket. It may sound greedy but as new job is only 18hr contract (although plenty of overtime apparently?) this additional twenty hours would be awesome. My shifts at job 1 would be 9-1730 Monday to Saturday (anytime inbetween) and job 2 is Mon 1800-2300 Tues 1800-2400 and Saturday 1300-2200 so Saturday would be the only issue, so eventually my questions:
A. After previously pleading full flexibility would asking for Saturday allowance be a big problem for job offer 1? In other words would it be really selfish to ask?
b. Do you thin it looks reckless to start two new jobs concurrently?
Ps I have worked more than one job at a time before so understand the hard work but also in 2011 I started two new jobs within 3 days of each other and it worked out well for all parties.

It may be partly dependent on what the contract says on the original job, but if they've made you an offer which says 'any time Monday to Saturday' and you now say "I can't do Saturdays" then it may well be an issue.
But how would we know? You'll have to ask, and I'd do it carefully and make it clear that if it IS a problem, then you will prioritise this job. Otherwise you may not have it for long.
You might also want to check whether there are restrictions (in either job) on taking another job. In some cases you have to ask permission, although it should be unreasonably refused.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

I understand, it's just a bit of a pain I've been going through the process of recruitment for this job for about a month and it's only the last week or so they've changed the position from 30hrs to 18! I'm currently 15 hrs but with my debt repayments I have 10£ per month spare (not even exaggerating) so 18 is slightly better . Obviously they're allowed to do what they need to but I was banking on 30+ hrs to get myself sorted... Maybe need a rethinkLloyds Personal Loan #3: £5000 (£4743)

So employer a is demanding you be available for 51 hours but only prepared to offer you 18, I'd tell them to shove their job up their @rse.0

I'm not sure whether it contributes anything, but a friend of mine worked for a large supermarket, and they will not take anyone on who can't work weekends. EVERY employee (at shop floor level, at least) has to do some weekend shifts.
I think I'd take job 1, see how it went for the first month or so (especially as they are suggesting there will be overtime) and then think about job 2, because
- you don't want to sabotage job 1 by being unavailable for overtime

I think I will stick with job a right now, one is supermarket other is a phone company. Too add to the confusion my current employer who I'm leaving as I went to give my notice before I could say a word they offered me temporary extra hours for the next couple of months...
