I'm not sure what you mean by free music. Please remember that most music is copyright and it is illegal to download it unless you have paid for it. There are a lot of sites where you can pay to download songs.

    Napster
    iTunes

Also keep an eye out for easyMusic who are doing a copy left site for unsigned bands which i believe will either have free or cheap music, there will also be a copy right side for your normal tunes.

if you get your music from a legit source then you have no worries about viruses etc.

if you get your music from an illegal site you could have a lot to worry about.

Personally for me iTunes at 79p a track and some free songs / samplers is plenty good enough.

http://www.chartsingles.net/ can be useful for the latest songs without having to download dodgy software but I advise you to use a ligit site to get your music not this one...as good as it is ;)

I've never had any problems with downloading music for free, I use limewire or winmx for that. Of course I usally download them to see if I will enjoy the music and if I do I but the album/single if not I delete it. So technically I don't get it for free lol
    Nice to save.
  • There is a web site called MP3downloading.com where for £24.95 one off payment you can download as much and as often as you like. I don't know of anyone can recommend it as I only discovered this morning by trawling through MSN.
