How much did NRAM sell their loan book to Marlin Financial for

Hi ... not been on in a while. Hope all are on an even(ish) keel.

I am trying to find out how much Marlin Financial paid for NRAMs loan book a year or so ago - how many pennies in the £ that is. I am trying to negotiate a F&F with Marlin after paying for years at a now unaffordable monthly payment.

The amount is irrelevant. Honestly it won't help you to know it at all. Even if it seems logical to you that if they paid 15p they should be happy to settle for 20p, that isn't the way bankers' minds work. What they paid in the past is a sunk cost and has no affect at all on what they expect to get back.

If you can't afford the monthly payments, write and say you want to reduce them, supply a Statement of Affairs to back this up, then say that as an alternative a relative has offered you £x,000 if this is acceptable as F&F.

Thanks for reply. I realise this but just out of curiosity I would like to know. I know I can ask them under Freedom of Information rules but wondered if anyone here already knew.
