Tuesday 10th June - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:
Morning :wave: happy Tuesday to you all! Today is a waiting game for me _pale_ something I'm not very good at! Waiting to hear about the interview yesterday & also I know they are shortlisting for the job I applied for yesterday and I really want an interview! Fingers crossed for me guys....
DFW things for today:
* speak to oh re having a meeting over finances today
* [STRIKE]check banking & cc [/STRIKE]
* write and post letter
* send an email to cancel the training session I was due to go to today. I do kinda want to go but it will mean 3 hours of travel on top of the session & don't want to give my work that time!
* work from home
* check onepoll
* put washing on the line
* all meals from stores
* [STRIKE]something out of freezer for dinner[/STRIKE]
* make cinnamon buns & peanut butter granola
* repot plants - jeez I can't believe I still haven't done this!
* do some Portuguese practice
* text friend to arrange lift to Portuguese tonight
* change utility tariff
* try to remove some silicone. This stuff is evil!
* put weedkiller on the driveway
* do a job search
Think that's all I'm going to do today. Hope it's MSE everyone

[*]Set up OWL to monitor elec usage
I'm sure this is some kind of posh monitor thing, but I had a mental image of one of the Hogwarts owls standing guard when you try and boil the kettle :rotfl:0 -

Hello all,
Busy at work catching up so just a quick update.
Today I have/will:
- Lift to and from work
- Check bank accounts
- All meals from home
- Line dry laundry
Motorbike was not collected yesterday, OH thinks he's mixed up the dates and it will be collected next week. So we still don't know how much the repair will be.
Instead of feeling defeated I am going to have a big push on looking for things to sell and do a sort out for a car boot sale. We still have lots of "stuff" that we can sell, just need to get on with it.
I also got a lovely surprise gift from a neighbour yesterday (long story) - very posh chocolates and hand cream that will go in my gift box (my waistline does not need the chocolate and I have enough hand cream to last a couple of years!).
Best wishes to all x0 -

Managed a fair bit today and spoke to physio, agreed that tomorrow will be my last session and they will refer me for the next stage closer to home - atm I have to be there for 9am and obviously have to get DS off for school and also its not on a bus route - so has been uite awkward but I have enjoyed it.
Anyway, enough waffle, night all xxGoodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75
